POLICE have taped off an area by the river in York this afternoon (Tuesday).
People aren’t being allowed along the footpath near the Blue Bridge.

A fire engine was also at the scene, alongside an ambulance.
At 12.30pm, officers at the scene said they expected the area to be cordoned off for between 30 minutes and an hour.
More as we we get it.
