Fire fighters were called to the scene of a shed fire in York.
Two fire engines arrived to put out the fire in the rear garden of a house on Stray Road, Heworth after the alarm was raised just before 5pm.
Black smoke filled the sky above the property as neighbours rallied to help.
A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue service said the flames spread to a fence, and the the crews from York and Huntington used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
