FIREFIGHTERS were called in to help free a child trapped in a car at a York shopping centre.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue say they were called at 11.08am today to Clifton Moor Retail Park after reports of a small child was locked inside a car.
A spokesman said: "Crews used a window popper, salvage sheet and sharp protection to release the child safely from the vehicle."
