Kitchen fire in Haxby main street
A TOASTER placed on an electric hob was found to be the cause of a fire in Haxby last night.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue say they were called out at 6.11pm to The Village and on arrival found there was a fire in the kitchen of a property due to a toaster being put on an electric hoband the hob being accidentally switched on.
Fortunately the fire was out upon our arrival and crews inspected the property.
