FIREFIGHTERS in York were called out last last night to what they're calling a 'malicious' incident.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue say they were called at 10.46pm to the University of York.
A spokesman said: "Disappointingly our York crew were mobilised to an automatic fire alarm at one of the student accommodation blocks. After investigation it became apparent that a manual callpoint had been maliciously activated by students."
