FIREFIGHTERS have rescued a dog and its owner after they became stuck in mud by a North Yorkshire riverside.
Station Manager Bob Hoskins tweeted that crews from Selby and Tadcaster called to the incident near Cawood this morning.
He said a person had become stuck in mud when trying to retrieve their dog from the river, and both the dog and person were safely returned to firm ground.
