A FIRE broke out in a village near York last night after a mains electrical cable arced, causing a spark.
Humberside Fire & Rescue Service said the fire happened in Hull Road, Wilberfoss, at just before 7pm.
It said the fire had burnt out before firefighters arrived and they carried out an inspection only, using thermal imaging camera and covering it with soil, before leaving the incident with occupiers and a domestic electrician.
