FIREFIGHTERS had to smash their way in to a car to free two trapped children.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue say they were called out to Acomb at 4.39pm today after a report that two children had become locked inside a car.
Crews gained access via a rear window using a glass breaker and released the children, leaving them in the hands of their parents.
