A WOMAN in a York suburb had to be treated for smoke inhalation after a cooker fire.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue 
were called out to Askham Lane, in Acomb at 10.45pm last night.

Two crews from Acomb attended and on arrival found the fire was out but a woman was treated by paramedics for mild smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire was due to cooking left unattended.
