ONE man was taken to hospital with injuries to his face and another was arrested after an incident in York city centre.
North Yorkshire Police say they were called to an incident in Fishergate at about 10.50am today after reports of violence between two men.
A spokesman for the force said: "A 23 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and remains in police custody.
"A 36 year-old man was taken to hospital by ambulance with hand and facial injuries.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
