GUISELEY have continued to strengthen their squad with Brad Nicholson signing up for the 2020/21 campaign.

After a successful trial, the 21 year-old joined the Lions at the beginning of last season and only missed out on one game, starring 37 times in all competitions.

Nicholson, who can play left back or centre half, became a popular player at Nethermoor with his athleticism, strength and willingness to link up with the attack.

He broke into men’s football at the oldest football club in the world, Sheffield FC, before joining Handsworth Paramore in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division.

The youngster’s form attracted the attention of Chesterfield, who he signed a six-month contract with in August 2017, only to leave without playing a game.

He follows midfielder Prince Ekpolo, defender Nathan Newall and goalkeeper Declan Lambton in committing to the club.
