A NORTH Yorkshire hospice has sent a message of thanks to its volunteers, to mark Volunteers Week next week.
Saint Catherine’s Hospice has around 550 volunteers, who help with roles across the whole organisation.
Debbie Hilton, staff and volunteer services manager at the hospice, said: “We want to let you know that we are all OK and we hope you are too. We miss you all and we are looking forward to seeing you again when it’s safe to do so.”
During the coronavirus pandemic, hospice volunteers have been staying safe at home with their health and safety being the number one priority.
Volunteer’s roles at Saint Catherine’s include in the shops, gardens, in-patient unit, fundraising offices, kitchens and more.
