THROUGHOUT the lockdown, children have been decorating their windows with rainbows as a symbol of support for the NHS.
Now York artist Mark Braithwaite, of the Braithwaite Gallery in Low Petergate, has honoured these scenes with a new print, 'Rosebud, Sing a Rainbow,' to raise funds for NHS Charities Together
The picture is based upon a popular series of paintings based on his daughter when she was small.
It depicts Rosebud at an easel painting a rainbow, surrounded by some of her toys.
Mark said: "The NHS is currently going above and beyond in what they are doing for us.
"This is just a small way in which I can help and give something back to a community that has always supported my work and the Braithwaite Gallery."
Mark is raffling the original drawing on fundraising site Zaffo, with the draw ending on June 28. Tickets are £2 each via the link: www.supportnhscharitiestogether.zaffo.com. The gallery is also donating £5 from the sale of each print sold online whilst the raffle is being held.
