A PERSONAL stylist is helping people use the lockdown period to detox their wardrobe and overhaul their body image to boost confidence.
York-based Sara Anson has launched a range of services from virtual shopping experiences to style parties.
Her business, Styled by Sara, now offers a wardrobe edit guide to create sustainable collections, and advice on how to bring outfits up to date.
Packages include a body shape analysis to help dress your body shape; a colour analysis to find what best suits you; and tips on how to dress with confidence.
Sara said: “Once lockdown was announced my business took a nose dive. I had to work swiftly to provide a virtual styling platform so that I could continue to work with existing clients.
"I am also promoting my styling service via social media as it’s an ideal time to help people de-clutter and revamp their wardrobes."
There is also a session on creating a capsule wardrobe to suit your body shape, colouring and lifestyle; style personality –hints on how to identify your style personality and find out how to express your style through what you wear; and virtual online shopping sessions.
After completing a questionnaire, a Pinterest board will be created, outlining ideas and inspiration as well as a personalised style summary with clickable links. Style tips and tricks will also be provided including advice on how to style items in different ways.
Sara added: "I’m an advocate for sustainable fashion and am passionate about sourcing clothing from Yorkshire-based suppliers, where possible. I strive to simply rework people’s wardrobes by restyling outfits and adding a few on-trend pieces rather than recommending a total overhaul in order to provide a cost effective styling solution.”
