Thank you for the splendid photograph by Philip Chalk of ‘my’ church of St Michael le Belfrey (A ray of hope from on high? May 13). The early morning sun has entered through the row of twelve clerestory windows on the upper level of the nave walls. This is a unique feature in York parish churches.
I look forward to the Belfrey and all places of worship re-opening to the public.
