City of York Council cancelled garden waste collections due to a ‘significantly reduced workforce’. Why then have they doubled the vehicles and staff doing the recycling collections? The last two weeks we have had one vehicle collecting card and paper and then about 30 minutes later another collecting the rest.
Surely if one vehicle can do all recycling year round then they could have used the second one to do a garden waste collection at least once over the last few weeks and cleared everyone’s overflowing green bin.
