Before I dispose of the last week’s Presses I usually look through them. So I read Emma Clayton’s article ‘Lockdown is how Sundays used to be’ (Thursday April 2). In it she mentions the Co-op stamp books. You got so many stamps depending on how much you spent and each book when full was worth a pound.
In my box of memories I still have three books which would have been worth a whole £3. These are not worth anything in monetary terms but for me those were happy times.
