WE all understand staffing problems and safety concerns, but surely City of York Council could have made one collection of overflowing green bins before suspending service (Green bin collections suspended, March 31). Not all have storage room.

The service should start in March anyway, not April, as garden winter clean-ups begin in February. This is a petty whinge when we have the coronavirus to worry about, but acting normal is what keeps us sane. Best wishes to Boris, we need him. Let us trust the nightmare is soon over.
