FLOORBOARDS at a York property started smouldering after a microwavable wheat bag overheated and was left on them.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said an Acomb crew went to the fire at a domestic property in Terry Street at just after 7.30pm yesterday.
It said residual heat from the bag the caused the floorboards and joists to smoulder, and crews used a dry powder extinguisher to put the fire out.
