A NORTH Yorkshire animal park has made a plea for donations after closure until further notice due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Bridlington Animal Park have launched a GoFundMe page to allow people to support them through the closure period.

The park relies on ticket and experience sales to fund the large running costs.

They run as a not for profit organisation, as the owners do not take a wage from working there.

A spokesperson for the park said: “We have an amazing, dedicated team here that will do their best to carry on caring for our 200 plus animals in the best way they can.

“Please help us if you can. With your support we can get through this.”

All money will go towards the feeding and medical bills of the animals.

The park will also be running online streams to allow viewers to observe the animals.
