The BBC appear to be saying do as I say not as I do to its viewers.
They are scathing of commuters cramming into tube trains in London, scathing of people walking around our towns and cities, and scathing of people walking in parks.
Yet the 10pm news on Wednesday aired a report by Fergus Walsh showing empty streets - empty, that is, except for a news reporter and camera crew from the BBC.
The same bulletin showed Nicholas Witchell outside Buckingham Palace to give his report, again with camera crew.
Note to BBC: we know what empty streets look like, we know what Buckingham Palace looks like, we do not need reporters on the streets telling us.
Please practice what you preach.
