FIRE crews were called to an incident involving a large fire in York earlier today.
Crews from Acomb and Huntington were called to the scene in Wigginton Road at around 4.26pm today.
Upon arrival, the crew discovered that a large amount of timber and rubbish was on fire.
The flames had spread into the adjacent woodland and trees.
Crews used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
