A CHILDREN'S charity in York is looking to support young people that are isolating in and around the city in time for Easter.

The Snappy Trust have launched an appeal for Easter eggs, which they will then deliver to children that are in self isolation after the coronavirus outbreak.

In light of recent government guidelines on social interaction and distancing, the Trust have taken the decision to close Senior Snappy and their Saturday Scheme until further notice.

It is stated on the website that the Trust feel it is"safer not to expose the children and young people to a busy scheme with a high register of staff and volunteers."

The Snappy Trust supports children and young people with disabilities and additional needs in York.
