THE TOP WI officer for North Yorkshire is urging the elderly to accept offers of help.
"It's not charity," Jennie Potter, the federation chair for Yorkshire North East WI, told them. "Take whatever help is offered".
She said elderly people were often reluctant to ask others for help.
Many members of the 106 WIs in her federation are elderly and in normal times help their community.
But now it is time for them to accept help.
She said younger members of the WI will do what they can to help others during the epidemic.
