CORONAVIRUS: NHS urgently needs cleaners and catering staff in York
STAFF are urgently needed to support the NHS at York Hospital.
A number of posts have been advertised, to cope with the increased demand on the health service amid reducing staffing levels.
A poster for the new positions says: "As the effects of the restrictions relating to COVID-19 are felt across the hospitality, catering and visitor attraction secters, the NHS needs additional staff to meet the increased demand and reducing staffing levels."
Among the vacancies being advertised are catering operatives, working on the wards and in the production unit; and cleaning staff.
