A MAN has been arrested in connection with an alleged wild bird shooting in North Yorkshire.
Two members of the public alerted police to an incident in Upper Nidderdale on January 27.
They believed a male hen harrier was shot.
North Yorkshire Police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident or who was in the area shortly before it happened to contact them.
They confirmed they have arrested a man about the incident and later released him under investigation.
The shooting allegedly occurred at about 10.45am on Monday January 27 on Threshfield Moor.
