IT is time for VAR in York. Over the last few years I have been going to watch York City FC and have seen referees and linesmen struggle to make the right decisions. There was one match against Salford when a York player was taken with a neck tackle, although on that occasion York won. This season I have seen much time wasting and some throws taken from the wrong place. How many games have been won or lost by teams getting away with it?

I understand about the additional cost but the system could be used by both the football and rugby clubs and I am sure both sports already have a reserve official.
