A BUS has caught fire on a main route into York.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said the fire to the engine compartment was spreading to the passenger area but it was out on the arrival of crews from York and Acomb, and everyone on board was also out of the vehicle.
It said the crews cooled and ventilated the bus using a hose reel jet after the fire, which happened at 9.38am today in Tadcaster Road.
