TWO people who returned from Italy and Tenerife have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK.
The virus was passed on in Italy and Tenerife and the patients have been transferred to a specialist unit at the Royal Liverpool Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital, London, the Department of Health said.
It has been reported that on the person who contracted the virus in Tenerife is from Derbyshire and that a school in the county has closed because of the case.
It is not clear which part of the UK the other person is from. They contracted the virus in northern Italy.
