I was struck by the images of the revamped interior of the Judge’s Lodging (First look at revamped hotel, February 14).
The emphasis is on the ‘vamped’. It is opulent, striking, but for me...baffling!
If I were more sophisticated I might see the styling as a bit tongue-in-cheek. As I’m not, I’ll just ‘harrumph’ in an old-fashioned sort of way.
