Over £2 million for anti-terrorist blocks in the city centre (The Press, February 16).
Could we have some more adventurous thinking, rather than these ugly barriers? Concrete tubs with flowers and shrubs, or concrete seating, maybe with tables? Or how about some modern art, to add a little humour to a visit to York? Use the opportunity, and the large sum of money, to enrich our lives!
