A PRIMARY school in a York village has been closed today (January 20) due to a broken boiler.
St Mary’s CE Primary School in Askham Richard expects to open again tomorrow.
A statement on its website this afternoon said: "I am pleased to announce that our school boiler is back working, so all being well, school will be open as per usual on Tuesday morning.
"Apologies for any inconvenience that today's closure has caused and thank you for your understanding.
"Though we are not anticipating any, if there are further problems tomorrow, information will be passed on via ParentPay, Minster FM, Radio York and our school website as soon as possible.
"If there is no message on these platforms, then school will be open. Thank you."
