A ROAD in a village near York has reopened after repairs to a burst water main were completed.
Drivers had been facing diversions in Strensall since the pipe burst in Northfields yesterday morning.
A Yorkshire Water spokesman said earlier today that the pipe was reinstated last night and a site clearance agent was going over to clear the site completely, and so the road should be re-opened this afternoon.
York Travel tweeted at just before 4pm that the road had now reopened.
