A WOMAN who fell in the River Wharfe in Tadcaster while trying to rescue her dog was helped out of the water by her mother.
A crew from Tadcaster fire station was called out to the incident in Wharfe Bank at just before 3pm today.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said she was out of the river on their arrival, and firefighters kept the women warm using blankets until the arrival of the Ambulance Service.
