TRAVELLERS on the East Coast mainline faced problems north and south of York this lunchtime.
High winds have caused railway managers to put speed restrictions on the line through Northumberland until the weather eases.
Trains travelling south from the Yorkshire capital were delayed by trespassers on the line between Newark and Grantham.
Although southbound trains are no longer affected there are still speed restrictions north of York.
