The Roomz aparthotel: far too tall to fit with the streets and buildings around it, says Matthew Laverack
The problem with Roomz Aparthotel is not that it is 25 centimetres more than it should be. The problem is that it is at least two storeys more than it should be.
Like so many hotels and student buildings approved in recent years it is a mega-block so out of scale with the traditional character of this city that it dwarfs established streets and vernacular buildings all around it.
