A 16-YEAR-OLD boy was found driving a car near Selby.
North Yorkshire Police said officers stopped a car at 2.10am this morning (November 22) on the A19 close to Burn, due to the manner of driving.
The force confirmed that a 16-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, driving otherwise in accordance with a licence and driving without insurance. He remained in police custody this afternoon.
In addition, an 18-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, the force said, adding that he has since been released with a caution.
It said a 20-year-old male was also arrested and later charged with taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent. He is due to appear at York Magistrates Court on next month.
