The application, which has been made by Shropshire Council, will see the Stokes Family – who are currently based in St Martins – moved to Glovers Meadow on Maesbury Road Industrial Estate.

It will be discussed by members at an extra planning session tonight at the Guildhall, from 7pm, with the plans to move the family from a former primary school to the new site, and has been backed by Shropshire councillor Steve Davenport.

The store is a large retail unit and the plans to change its use from shop to food place has been submitted by Steve Hind from Cefn Mawr.

It is one of a number items on the planning agenda, including works to trees on land at Maserfield and the building of a two-storey side extension with extended front porch.

Meanwhile, there will also be an amenities meeting on the same evening, with councillor expected to receiver reports on a variety of events held in Oswestry during the year.

First, Clive Knight will give his report into the Oswestry Community games, held in September, while Sioned Camlin, project officer at Culturefest, also expected to update councillors.

There will be a discussion of Shropshire Council's library strategy consultation, which finished on Sunday, November 10, with Michael Lewis, from Shropshire Council, detailing the need for a new strategy.
