FIRE crews wearing breathing apparatus have forced entry into an East Yorkshire property to rescue a man.
Humberside Fire and Rescue Service said the incident happened yesterday afternoon in Howden when an unattended pan was left on a cooker.
A spokesperson said the rescued man was suffering from smoke inhalation but refused medical treatment, adding that the fire was extinguished when the power supply was isolated.
