A BOY was taken to hospital after being hit by a car near York.
North Yorkshire Police said it received reports at around 4pm on Thursday that an 11-year-old boy had been hit by a car on Wheldrake Lane.
Today, a spokesman for the force added: "The boy remains in hospital where his condition is described as stable.
"No arrests were made."
Wheldrake Lane was closed between Crockey Hill and Wheldrake from shortly after 4pm and reopened at 6.50pm.
