THREE people were arrested after an alleged assault in York city centre.
North Yorkshire Police said it was called to a report of an assault on The Stonebow near Whip-Ma-Whop-Ma-Gate at 2.30am today (September 23).
The force said that three men - two in their 20s and one in his 30s - were arrested by officers on patrol in the area. They remain in custody this afternoon while inquiries continue.
The victim suffered superficial injuries, the force added.
