THE A59 west of York has re-opened after being blocked in both directions by a three-vehicle crash.
The accident happened in the late afternoon near Hessay, causing congestion amid heavy traffic in the area," added an officer.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said firefighters were called to the crash but were not needed to free anyone, and one person was checked over.
