YORK and North Yorkshire are looking set to enjoy - or endure - a heatwave next week.
Temperatures are set to soar to 26C in York by next Monday and as high as 28C by Tuesday, according to the Met Office.
The region will also see long sunny periods and it is likely to feel humid.
Before the heatwave arrives, heavy and possibly thundery showers are expected, both tomorrow and on Saturday.
