The A1079 near Dunnington has reopened following a crash earlier today.
North Yorkshire Police confirmed that the crash involved two vehicles and that two people have been taken to York hospital.
In a statement, the force said: "We received a report at around 3.30pm.
"Two people are going to the hospital as a precautionary measure. Avoid the area whilst emergency services respond."
In a tweet, North Yorkshire Police said: "A1079 currently closed just past the Dunnington turn off. Emergency services are on scene dealing with the incident. Please avoid the area."
