Parts of York are without power following a power cut in York
MORE than 1700 homes in York have been hit by a power cut.
Northern Powergrid says the unplanned cut in the YO24, YO26 and YO41 postcode area, was reported at 2.15pm and was caused by an unexpected problem with cables or equipment.
Power was restored within a couple of hours.
