A fire was started deliberately in a wood near York
A FIRE which was started deliberately in a wood near York last night was extinguished by firefighters using a knapsack sprayer.
The fire involving a tree stump broke out in woods at Earswick at 9pm.
Police who attended the fire have tweeted: "Do you know who is responsible? If so please make contact. Incident ref 12190093605 thank you #DontPlayWithFire."
