Crash causes traffic chaos on A1 in North Yorkshire
A CRASH led to lengthy delays on the A1 southbound in North Yorkshire this morning (May 20).
North Yorkshire Police said it received a report of a collision between a car and a wagon near Boroughbridge at 5.50am.
The road was closed to allow emergency services to deal with the crash and for vehicles to be recovered.
Motorists faced long delays. Travel time was around 40 minutes.
The incident was reported as cleared at 7.50am.
