FIREFIGHTERS have rescued a Jack Russell dog who got stuck down an old collapsed drain in Tadcaster.
Station Manager Tony Walker tweeted that 10-year-old Poppy 'decided to do a spot of rabbiting and got fast down the hole for four hours.'
He said the Tadcaster crew had dug their way to the dog and managed to return it to its 'happy owner,' and suggested the rescue was another example of firefighters not just fighting fires.
