THE A64 westbound has now cleared after a crash involving three vehicles on the outskirts of York.
The collision happened near Copmanthorpe and the A1237 junction at around 2pm.
The crashed caused a traffic jam and delays for motorists.
A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Police said it was a "damage only collision" between three vehicles and that the the vehicles were cleared by 3.30pm.
There are not believed to be any injuries, the spokeswoman confirmed.
