A CYCLIST was taken to hospital after an alleged "hit and run" crash in York yesterday evening (May 16).
The cyclist was involved in a collision with a car at the junction of Beckfield Lane and Norman Drive in Acomb at around 6.50pm.
@PC41_NYP wrote on Twitter: "This evening attended a hit and run RTC between a car and cyclist.
"The car involved described only as silver made off leaving the cyclist at scene.
"Cyclist taken to hospital with a possible sprain." The PC said an investigation has begun to identify the driver.
